Dr.
Marco Griscti LL.D. graduated from the University of Malta in
1981 as a lawyer and is one of the founding members of the legal
firm Griscti & Chetcuti, Advocates, to which this company belonged
between 2001 and 2008, before being set up in its own right. He does not practice
the profession at the Law Courts any longer and he is our consultant for Maltese
Trusts, Malta companies, ship and yacht registration and immigration
to Malta. Dr. Marco Griscti is a founding member and director
of International
Beneficiary Services Ltd.
Dr. Mark Chetcuti
LL.D., is a lawyer and graduated from the University of Malta in 1981 and
is also a founding member of the legal firm.
He has received a warrant to practice law in all the Courts of Malta, that
is the Magistrates Courts, The Superior Courts, The Court of Appeal and
the Constitutional Court. Dr. Chetcuti deals with litigation on
behalf of our clients and is our consultant as regards real estate. He is a member of the Malta Board of
Arbitrations and is a member of the Refugees Appeals Board.
Mr. Chris Sammut is
our in-house certified public accountant and auditor. He graduated from the University of Malta in 1985. Mr.
Sammut supervises all the auditing, accounting and tax matters necessary for the proper
running of the firm and of the companies it incorporates in Malta for
foreign beneficial owners. He is a founding member and director of International
Beneficiary Services Ltd and is our consultant for all tax and VAT related
matters.
Ms. Diane Cauchi joined the firm in November 2009 having graduated from the University of Malta in 2007 as an accountant and is completing her studies to become a fully qualified auditor. She does all the accounting groundwork required by the office and its clients and she also supervises the performance of back office services which the firm carries out on behalf of its client companies.
Mrs. Joanna Agius
joined the firm in December 2004. After
being in private business for a number of years, she was a consultant
to a private bank that was set up in Malta and she also worked as a
consultant in the Office of the Prime Minister. She has
considerable experience in dealing with bureaucracy and Government
departments and has many connections to the Establishment in Malta.
She has recently been certified by the Malta Financial Services Authority
as being an "approved" person and has therefore been appointed
to the Board of Directors of the company. Mrs. Agius has also been
licensed by the MFSA to act as an insurance agent, thus enabling the
company to offer health and house insurance to foreigners relocating to
Malta.
Notary Public Dr.
Tim Ellis has graduated from the University of Malta and publishes
deeds and contracts relating to real estate, he publishes wills and he is also licensed as a Commissioner for Oaths.
Ms. Marlene Borg Sammut joined the firm in
December 2006 and has a strong background in book-keeping and
accounting and has considerably boosted our accounting and back office
services potential.
Mrs. Maria Carmela
(a.k.a. Marlene) Borg is our executive
secretary and she also takes care of the administrative needs of our foreign clients who take up residence in Malta and co-ordinates the registration and proper maintenance of ships and yachts registered under the Malta flag. On our team we now therefore have two staff members
named Marlene Borg and we hope this will not cause undue confusion.
The
Company has just recently expanded and has enhanced its
services to its clientele. We have just acquired more office space adjacent to our
present offices and we are looking to employ another lawyer and another
secretary to assist with an ever-increasing work load. We are confident that this latest expansion of the firm leaves us with enough staff complement
and professional expertise to considerably enhance the services we offer
and add on other services that could be of interest to our clients.
